1. The app knows when it has grown too old. Until now it could only say that a newer version exists. It now also learns from ly4a.com whether this one is still supported: a version that has fallen behind is asked to update at every start, and one that is no longer supported shows only the download screen until it is. Nothing changes today — the limits are set on the site when they are needed. Your callsigns and reminders survive the update either way.

1. Your own alarm sound. Until now the alarm always used the default alarm tone of the phone. Settings now let you choose one of the system alarm sounds, or any music file on the phone. If that file is later deleted, the system sound comes back rather than the alarm falling silent.
2. A warning when the phone is holding the alarm back. Android 14 and later give full-screen alarms only to apps they treat as alarm clocks, and battery saving can pause the watching — neither of them says so. Settings now check both and lead straight to the right system screen.
3. The spotter shows on a paired watch too. The alarm notification draws its own buttons so that Stop and Snooze are reachable without opening it, and a watch skips that drawing — leaving only the frequency and mode. The spotter and the source now travel with the notification itself.

1. Built against Android 16. Google Play now requires it of every new release. Nothing changes in use; the app still runs on Android 8.0 and newer.

1. The status line says when the feed is live. It reads „PSKR live“ while the connection to the broker is up — without it there was no way to tell whether the feed had connected or had quietly fallen back to queries.

1. The live feed now works on the phone as well. PSK Reporter reports reach the phone the moment a receiver hears the callsign, and the alarm goes off at once rather than waiting for the next check — where before it could be a quarter of an hour behind. It can be switched off under the sources in settings.

1. The app tells you when a new version is out. It asks ly4a.com at startup and, if there is a newer release, offers to download it — so an update no longer depends on happening to visit the page. There is a button in settings as well, for asking straight away.

1. PSK Reporter now arrives live. Its reception reports used to be asked for every few minutes, and they are published in batches — nothing under a minute old, typically around thirteen. The computer app now listens to the same reports over MQTT and hears a callsign within seconds of a receiver reporting it. If the connection is unavailable, the queries come back on their own. Windows and macOS only for now.
2. The alarm interval works on the computer. The setting existed but had no effect there: the record of what had already rung was thrown away after every check, so a station being spotted repeatedly kept ringing.

1. The title screen works with the phone turned sideways. There is about half the height then, and „Enter the app“ ended up below the edge of the screen — leaving no way past the title screen at all. It now scrolls.
2. The alarm screen too. A long callsign could push Stop out of sight just when the alarm was ringing.

1. Fifteen languages. Added Polish, Italian, Ukrainian, Czech, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Latvian, Estonian and Hungarian, alongside English, Lithuanian, German, French, Russian and Spanish.
2. The language is the app's own. Pick it in the app or on the title screen; it does not depend on the phone's system language.
3. Portable versions. The Windows and macOS builds are now also offered as a no-install download, under each button.

1. New band: 60m. Every HF band from 160m to 10m is now covered, plus 6m, 2m and 70cm.
2. New mode: FT4. It is told apart from FT8 by its own channels, so a reminder set for one does not fire on the other.
3. PSK Reporter works as it should. Its reception reports are published in batches and are always a few minutes old, and the app used to discard them as stale — so the source looked silent while its data was fine.
4. One alarm per callsign, band and mode. A single appearance on the air is reported by dozens of spotters; you now get one alarm for the newest of them.
5. You choose how often the same station may ring again — on every new spot, or every 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes. It applies to that one callsign, band and mode: any other still rings at once.
6. The alarm is easier to stop. Stop and Snooze are buttons on the notification itself, visible without expanding it, and closing the full-screen alarm with Back now stops it too.
7. A warning if notifications are turned off. Until now the app kept watching and alarming with nothing to show for it.
8. Newest spots are at the top of the list, and the Android download is 2.2 MB instead of 19 MB.

Your callsigns and reminders survive the update. The Windows and macOS versions have the same changes.
